Op RAF Unite courses

Did you serve in Op Herrick or Op Telic?

We understand that serving with the RAF in Iraq and Afghanistan between 2001 and 2021 could present its own unique experiences that may be tough to navigate.

Our free mental wellbeing training course is tailored specifically to you, equipping you with the practical skills and habits to understand and overcome some of the difficulties of everyday life.

Those on your course with you may share some of the same experiences, and your course will be delivered in a safe and supportive environment where these can be explored, helping you develop the tools and habits to tackle some of the challenges you may face.

What is Op RAF Unite?

The RAF Association and RAF Benevolent Fund are working in partnership to offer a bespoke package of support for veterans of Op Herrick and Op Telic thanks to funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and the Office of Veteran Affairs.

The project aims to connect you with members of the RAF community that served in Iraq and Afghanistan, to help raise your awareness of the support that is available and to foster comradeship and wellbeing.

What do the courses cover?

Our Op RAF Unite mental wellbeing course will help you to recognise that you’re not alone, providing a safe and understanding environment to learn practical steps to tackle some of the challenges you may face.

Everyone struggles with life from time to time and we’ll discuss how being part of the wider RAF community brings its own unique experiences. We’ll help you to see things differently, supporting you and others to take the first steps to get back on your feet.

We’ll also support you in learning the skills you need to be there for your loved ones, understanding practical habits that will enable you to support yourself and those around you.

Need further support?

If you think you might need additional support with the challenges you face, we offer a variety of services to the RAF community that you might find useful.
